1980 Trade Paperback. 78 pp. Pangs was first completed in 1971 under the title Panes and revised in 1972, slightly edited in 1978 under the new title Pangs after the author completed her first masterwork that fall which was titled, Panes-Fiction As Therapy, The Ultimate Novel Self-Help Book for Women. That book was revised and separated in 1979 into two shorter novels - Panes and Fiction As Therapy, both still in search of a publisher. This original forerunner, unborn almost aborted novella, is stepmother to the child Panes and/or childmother to a daughterwoman. Pangs depicts the quest of the young woman artist who searches for beauty and her own identity while wandering in the desert of a commercial society that seems hostile and apathetic to her struggle. Pangs is an old photo album delivered into print a decade after its conception!
