A catalogue raisonne of cylinders seals, with 95 pages of black & white photographic plates. These cylinder seals were an ancient tool used to create intaglio prints, and were originally invented circa 3500 BC, and are known to be linked to the invention of cuneiform writing on clay tablets in Mesopotamia. These seals are quite collectible as artifacts of early printed languages, and relics of various ancient cultures.
